And you’re correct: there’s a double standard when it comes to white collar crimninals/ crime/ corporate welfare. IN FACT, just in one year ALONE, corporate welfare cheats pocketed over a $trillion that would’ve gone to workers in decades past — all of this redistribution done with the help of government. And I’m not even talking about the slice of the federal pie that goes to corporations in the form of subsidies, give-aways, “incentives,” etc.
Empirically speaking, what goes to programs for the poor (often characterized as black women of low morals) is less than 1%, yet this is what is used to characterize the poor and the working poor. I have no tolerance for the apologists for the scum bags like newt.
